Brixton Cycles – Retail Positioning

Updated: Nov 24, 2022

Brixton Cycles are one of our longest-standing clients, first signing with Unearth back in September 2020. Kicking off in the midst of the COVID pandemic, we created a bespoke package, which did not include events organisation nor participation.

Brixton is a much-loved stalwart of the London bike scene, full of history, so it was a great opportunity to increase and improve their digital presence by showing the online world the true essence of the store.

We reworked their online presence with a transactional website, using the Push Retail platform which directly plugs into the Ascend till system as well as all supplier warehouses. As much as the website was designed to generate cash flow, it was equally important the nature of the co-operative store was still clear throughout. Therefore, the content we created was store-centric and focussed on the team and the stories behind the brand. Once the website was ready and live we focussed on growing their online audience and driving footfall, while taking care not to alienate their existing die-hard fans.

For Brixton Cycles, we work on:

- Overarching marketing strategy

- Overarching store campaign

- Website management

- Content creation

- Monthly emails to database

- Social media management

- Social ads and PPC

What's next?

Next year celebrates Brixton's 40th anniversary. For the occasion, we are planning a renovation of the store with unique displays giving the shop a museum feel. We will also organise a number of events, celebrating the team and the history of the store!
